2 rods are just guide rods I made up.  They prevent damage to the wheel or caliper when fitting.

Lovelly brakes Dave, you just need a fast car to test those beautys out  :P

I should really invest in some better stoppers. Std brakes are pants after a remap.

Standard brakes are crap without a remap.

I've got a PerformanceVW Magazine somewhere and there was a Steel Grey Gti with Steel Grey 19" BBS CK's. The car looked absolutely stunning.

The standard brakes are only not insufficient if your a late breaker or drive too fast on a standard car :P

Which one are you then?  :chicken:

The standard GTI brakes are very poor in comparison to their Cupra R/R32/S3 cousins.
Best mod in my very humble opinion.

Anyway lets not spam ED30 wheel colour thread anymore as they should be GOLD - Always believe in your soul.

Well I can't scan it I'm afraid, but I have been on the PVW website. Its in the Dec09 issue. There is a link here but you might have to keep clicking through the images until you find it. You will see a small picture on the page (Its the one next to the TT under the bridge)  but when you click it it opens up the first one. Just keep clicking.

Matt,

I've got a Steel Grey GTi on an 06 plate and have bought a set of the Audi S-Line Split rims.
(https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fdaz.co%2Fmedia%2Fv394%2Frdfcpete%2FP11-03-10_2330.jpg&hash=98de1670fdbc491efe4a5edca88a56c123ec4b4b)

I'm hoping to get them refurbed (which ideally they need) in a matte gunmetal grey which I hope will look suuuuuperrr
