While driving along bumpy roads it is most apparent
Hard to locate, but while it's creaking during driving, if I hold up the knee rest centre console it reduces somewhat.
Anyone know how to tighten this up or have other suggestions?
Thanks

I am in need of the proceedure for removing the centre console, as the creaking is starting to bug me now!..??
Anyone? Should be a link somewhere, its the most common thing on the mk5!

i've not had much time, but have got used to it abit
but i think if i can tighten the triangle knee bit (left side) more it might reduce my creaking

Well as it's an R are you sure it's not the road itself creaking under the weight?

:signLOL: - Very good!
I think you can be forgiven for saying that because you have a .:R
We all have such different wants and expectations from our GTI's - Some are bothered by every single creak. I expect that a Mk6 or an Audi would be more satisfactory for those folks. But if you want to and can solve such sounds, then all is well and good.

Just removed and reset etc... road test in a bit!

Road test complete, quiet as a mouse! (touch wood) :pomppomp:
