Title: Will 3 Door Rear Seats fit a 5 Door?
Post by: martinbickley on November 13, 2011, 02:37:17 pm
Hi guys,

Hopefully a quick question. Does anyone know if 3 door rear seats will fit a 5 door?

I've been offered a set of GTi seats for my GT but they are from a 3 door and I have a 5 door.

Thanks in advance

Martin

I had 3 door seats in my 5 door golf, was really helpful in fact, as when the car w as full could pull forward the passenger seat for more space.

Hi Guys hopefully someone can help!

I have purchased seats from a 3foor Golf but my Golf is a 5door, I attempted to fit them but the airbag wire seems very tight when the seat is pulled back (all the way). I have attempted to untangle/re-route the airbag cable around the seat in many ways, but I am unable to achieve a somewhat slack airbag cable, I am worried this will snap if someone was to pull the seat back fast.

My only option at the moment is to extend the airbag cables (all three of them  Blue,Brown,Black) to allow more slack
I am not waning to do this as I have read that airbag cables are very sensitive as its part of the SRS System (Resistance readings ect..)

any ideas or anyone had this problem??
