Post by: Mandy on June 26, 2020, 03:36:14 pm
Hi guys, its been a million years since logging into this forum! I can't even remember how to insert photos lol, just wondering if  anyone can advise how much they think I should list the R for!

£50......

autotrader / ebay / gumtree

Look at similar year/model/mileage private examples and then price accordingly. If there's no private ones then look at the dealers ones and price it lower. If you think the mods will add value then increase the price. If not, remove the bolt-on mods and sell.

Thank you, yes, I have tried to have a look around, there's only a handful of them and the prices seem to vary quite a bit! I'd prob recoup more money putting back to standard and selling parts individually but it's just hassle and time consuming. :ashamed:

That's it, it's time consuming, if you feel it's worth your time to recoup it then I'd do it.

Good luck with the sale whatever you end up at. I've no idea on Mk6 R prices. Typically they usually seem to be around £12k anytime I see them pop up!

Thank you, I've been meaning to sell it for the past 3 years but never got round to it, someone has made me an offer though with all the bits on so I might just sell to get rid. It's only moved about 3k miles in a year. :rolleye:

£13k with all current mods... I’m tempted to say yes (I think)   :pomppomp:

stunning car @Mandy (https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1310)

As usual its whatever people are willing to pay and convenience to you.
Mk6 R are rare  (but a small market of people wanting them)
As usual if you could be bothered putting back to standard you would get a lot more for a standard car + parts separately. (and the car would have a wider market for sale)

If you are happy sell up and move on and enjoy whats next.
If you can be bothered Id definitely swap out the wheels first , then brakes and exhaust.

Either way good luck

I think 13k is a bargain for the new owner.

If you still have the original parts, put aside a Sunday and just swap them over.

You'll only sell the car once. Cost up the wheels, brakes, exhaust and intake, tons of money in those parts.

Took the words straight from my mouth smiler!

I was looking at MK6 R's a few months back, and there really isn't much to choose from, and especially with the mileage of this car.

Again my vote would be back to standard and put it up for 16-17k, but either way 13k with the mods is far too cheap! Great car, great example of this car, with low mileage and the right spec, no need to give it away IMO  :happy2:
