As you know we have moved to a more reasonably priced server.

I have setup this PayPal pool. Don't go crazy  :rolleye:  I think the hosting will cost 20 to 25 a month but maybe less.

I would also like to add an anti spam subscription which will cost 8 a year. DONE

Good to see update - how is it feeling to drive?

I dont think VW does embroidered mats - VW do 2 types of genuine mats, low/high quality - my kind TPS guys got both in to see, the low Q ones are really good and half the price.

Was hoping to get it back today but the

Pretty high mileage but if the receipts match up then shouldn’t be a problem.

Probably between 3 and 4 grand on Autotrader.

Re: What did you and your MKV do today?

After still suffering from stuttering and cut outs at high revs or under full load I decided to replace the new in tank fuel pump with the old blue top one I had bought from a breaker. nbsp And lo and behold, under full

Agreed, although I do patch ups rather than leaving it. nbsp I just find blue smoke and rust embarrassing and at that point, the car goes to the junkyard, or traded in/WBAC'#039d.

Make sure you get as late a MK6 as possible, otherwise you'#039ll have timing chains to deal with. nbsp Apart from early EA888 chain stretch, the rest of the car is way better made than the MK5.

Last Poster: Sebas_theFish in Mk5 General Area on Yesterday at 11:25:36 am
There maybe a saving grace about it all, Vag Can Pro has a one touch guided function to change LHD to RHD or Vice versa, some of the modules i mentioned earlier i got from Europe so this is something i have yet to try and see if it works, waiting for better weather and spare time to check my work, so

Ah yes, the mild annoyance of fitting the MAP sensor in the boost pipe instead of the intake manifold. nbsp Glad you figured that one out.

Yep, the wheels of progress turn very slowly at Ross-Tech. nbsp I have VCDS '#039mobile'#039, but it'#039s basically just a sh1tty little XML thing that runs in a web browser. nbsp It can do '#039Gauges'#039 but only 4 at once from memory, and setting that u

Anyone successfully done this by using a clip reader on the door EEPROM module?

MK5 GTI DSG stalling?!
Last Poster: Sam_786 in Mk5 General Area on Yesterday at 12:51:59 am
I’ve reached an impasse.

Purchased my MK5 GTI DSG as a keeper. Had no issues with DSG initially until one day it just wouldn’t move after putting it in Drive. Then had issues with it lurching from 1st to 2nd and from 3rd to 2nd. Now if I merely reverse the thing onto a pavement or out of my ever so slightly inclined driveway, the whole car shakes and feels as though it

Im up in east scotland.

Me too - I have used CLCM in Edinburgh a few times, they get great reviews: http://www.clcm-autotyre.co.uk/
They are only 1/2 a mile from the end of the M8, so not the hardest to get to.

Shocking I bought the exact same car inc the winter pack and colour!! It was a 2005 '#03905'#039 plate in 2010 with 40k for £8k cash:-)
Can'#039t believe how well they'#039ve held there money.
5 years ago you could have bought a clean 05 plate with 90ish K miles for £3500, they'#039re still that price now!
Love the red colour suits the car so well..

15k is an absolute p1

The tricky part will be cutting the Jetta screen out

Quite fond of Korea - a lock down habit, that has stayed is a breakfast of Nongshim Shin Ramyun Noodle - the chillies give a great endorphin kick!

You’re absolutely right. Best Ramyun noodle in our country <

Using the car more and more at the track and less on public roads I decided to swap the chunky mk5 GTI steering wheel for a thinner easier to grip, especially with racing gloves, mk7 GTI steering wheel.
I went thru the thread 2 times but I'#039m still not sure if I got this right. I can get even a mfsw with cruise mk7 steering wheel and just the buttons will not work but paddles

Been out on a collection of parts today after winning on eBay.

6x Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2 18X9 wheels. Not sure of the offset will have to measure them.

4 came with Dunlop Direzza 235/40/18 would have preferred 245 but for the price paid on the lot I won’t complain!

2 came with Yokohama AO52 in 245/40/18

Haha, the previous owner put a Parrot in mine, the cabling was truly a mess. Thankfully someone else sorted it for me. Got an RNS315, everything in one box and works fine as I don'#039t use the sat nav.

Pudding, what'#039s wrong with a shark fin? I'#039m wanting one for a decent DAB antenna because the one that sticks on the window is complete sh*t. The fact is has GPS and AM/FM
