Hi chaps,
How about some forum stickers? I reckon that someone on here with some decent design skills could make some funky modern designs :happy2:
It would get people looking us up methinks. :innocent:

I am already investigating the cost of some stickers and other branded items based around the header logo.
But if anyone has any ideas for a different design then please let us know :happy2:

It had to be changed, its a work in progress at the minute. :smiley:
Mr PG is going to have to leave his current job to keep up with this place at the moment, go easy on him chaps

When it's settled, bear in mind that various sigs should change how it's styled so that it's visually consistent. It is in fact a logo, or more technically known as a Logotype when lettering (aka type).
A consistent logo will reinforce and promote the site's graphic identity far more effectively.
Sorry for the lecture but you're talking to a Corporate Identity specialist (retired). I had clients such as Coca-Cola so know a thing or two - Such as don't mess with their logo or you'll meet their heavyduty Atlanta lawyers!

What about the font VW use for GTI etc? Anyone know what it is? Maybe just the red GTI bit in the logo?

Does anyone know what that font is called?
I remember reading somewhere that it is not available? It looks very simple though. Probable like tohoma etc.

If you have some time Dan that would be great, I know a couple of local companies to me that can print them up but if you can give us an idea of the kind of prices you can get them produced for that would also be great.
I think Robin is right about the clarendon font that looks the closest I have seen so far. :happy2:

In my opinion the best stickers are the laser-cut ones which stick to the inside of glass.

That's a shame as laser cut would be much better IMO. I for one am not keen on full stickers with backgrounds...........

TBH me neither Nath, If we can come up with a design that ties in with the forum/website logo that can be used as a laser cut sticker than would be great. :smiley:

....I don't quite understand why it wouldn't work. Our logo here is the logotype "Mk5GolfGTI . co.uk" isn't it? And if you look at my Biali logo laser-cut sticker, it's the same principle.
They are tricky to put on but there's some tricks which I can post for example. Once on, they look superb.
Here's another one (the insides of the letters are clear/transparent) : -

yes im sure i can sort something, i was thinking website name with as Nath mentioned earlier the GTI in the font used on the actual car would be very effective and easily recognisable to everyone with a GTi :afro:
got some ideas down already and started to work on them in illustrator during work time of course :grin:

The grey could be 'translated' as silver in a laser-cut sticker. The laser-cut silver is a matt silver rather than chrome and looks grey in most lighting > As in my revo sticker.

some great ideas guys, ive already got some ideas done up if you have any good suggestions PM me and i will do my best to draw something up for you all, i will have some ideas sent across to Steve by tomorrow but there is no deadline as such for ideas to be submitted i will just do as and when.
