Title: Tornado Red Edition 30 R Tech Stage 2+
Post by: 55golf on March 17, 2013, 07:44:11 pm
Ive had my Editon 30 now since Novemeber last year and done a couple of mods to it. Thought it was time this afternoon i took a couple of pics of what ive done.

Its currently running a R Tech stage 2 custom map 321BHP and 343LBs Torque
Neuspeed Intake
3" Downpipe and Decat
Autotech HPFP Internals
S3 Intercooler
It hasnt had the pump and intercooler mapped to the car yet, so should see a nice increase in power and torque. Another visit to R tech is booked in for the 1st April.
Fk Silverline Coilover kit
White line Anti Left Kit
Pollybush Front bushes
Vibratchnics Dogbone bush and Lower Engine Mount
What a difference these have made to the handing

I also changed the steering wheel and climate control unit to mk6 ones, what a differnce these have made. Got myself a rns510 to complete the look.

How hard was it to change the mk6 climate control and for it to work with the head unit?

I got a loom of eddie, very easy to do and took 30 mins max. comes up by itself on rns

Great looking car, how is the neuspeed intake? Is it a proper CAI? Is it shielded from the rest of the engine bay?

Looking good but if you fitted that caliper in the bottom pic like that its on upside down. And depending on the internal vain on the disc. Could be on wrong side too, I found that out after fitting mine once lol.

Lovin the build, you willhave to let me know what the S3 intercooler does to the heat soak, havn't experienced much so far has to be said but this is definatly someting id be looking at doing!
brakes look very nice btw, one dissapointing part of the mk5 platform is the brakes have to say, drove a Megane 265 Trophy Cup yesterday for work and it has a gorgeous brake travel/feel and initial bite! I amagine those AP's will be awesome!
Title: Re: Tornado Red Edition 30 R Tech Stage 2+
Post by: 55golf on August 17, 2013, 05:23:53 pm
Went down to r tech on wednesday and had my car mapped again to stage 2+ it made 354bhp and  384lbs torque.  It really needs the rest of the exhaust doing and bigger discharge pipe and intercooler pipe as it wasnt flowing at the top end

Anyone know if this will fit
