Good evening all,
Apologies if this has been asked before but I have a quick query regarding potentially upgrading my Golf's interior.
I currently have a facelift mk5 GT TDI 2008 with heated leather seats. I've been offered some heated mk6 GTD seats for mine First of all will the interior be interchangeable in terms of connectors? / i have full vcds so would it just be case of clearing any codes afterwards or would i need to swap the airbag control module under the passenger seat off my old seats & then just clear codes.

I fitted the mk6 gtd seats into my 05 gti was a straight fit other than the airbag connector being different but I changed that and been perfect ever since

A quick update : So today i went to collect my new mk6 gtd heated seats & we set about removing my standard heated leather mk5 fitted in my 2008 mk5, im pleased to say they went in without any issues & the only wiring change i had to make was to separate the loom under each from seat for the under seat lights. i never swapped the airbag module under the passenger seat & i just left the mk6 one in place & i had no airbag lights on when starting the car. The things that stood out was how much more supportive the mk6 seats compared to the mk5 previous leathers. the big bonus was both front seats came with under seat draws :pomppomp: / i really wish i had done this mod years ago & i also noticed how fast the seat heaters work on the mk6 seats, ill try to add some pictures asap.

Do mk6 rear seats fit without modification too?
