Hi guy's.
I picked this up in England in December and brought it home to Northern Ireland on the ferry. It's a Japanese import with 51k miles. It hasn't moved since I got it home as it will be a summer car/garage queen.

Guards off underneath and gave a good clean. Used Bilt Hamber S50 in the cavities, UB on the floor pan and UC on the rear subframe and suspension components.

Underneath is completely rust free, testament to the lack of salt the Japanese use on their roads.

Put on my reg.

One thing that was annoying me was a scuff on the gear surround so removed, stripped, sanded, primed and painted. Happy with the result.

Welcome to the forum..what a fantastic example.
Need to change the chrome bit on my dsg surround but can't remember if the gaiter is fastened to it or just slides in
-
Looks awesome
Did the plates come like that? reason i ask is i have a Jap import and it has the rectangular plates front and back. I would like to change to uk style but it would mean buying a new back bumper as the cut out is different.

Thanks. The gaitor slides out quite easily, just pinch the sides of it from underneath and it pops out. The chrome surround has little tabs that need pushed in to release it.

Thanks. The plates came like that from the dealer. The number plate holder on the front grill has been changed as I've had it off and the original holes for the Japanese plate holder are behind it. I'm not sure if the rear bumper was changed or not.

Stunning example of a very rare car. The condition of the suspension components is amazing for its age

I've used it on plastics before without issue. Time will tell how it holds out on the gear surround.

Can't get over the suspension condition. Mad. :congrats:

Congratulations for that impolute example!

No big updates on this except for fitting flappy paddle extensions. It won't be modified anyway as I want to keep it standard as possible. Weather has improved so it was time to get it out of the garage for some fresh air.

Love that colour, I have a black Pirelli import and have intention to use that colour on a few vehicle highlights.
