Hi I'm thinking about getting wheels shipped from USA to the Uk
Has anyone shipped wheels for USA? Is it safe & was they damaged?
-
Are you aware of import duty fees as well?

How much are they?

Few years back, cost me £550 in shipping and import duty/tax.

How much are they?
Second link is a duty calculator.

Which brand of wheels? As a few of the US of A manufactures sell through some Euro distributors, thus avoiding 20% duty and shipping costs.
-
The watercooled company & they said some thing about shipping through stance uk so I'm guess that's what you mean
-
Sometimes overseas sellers can get shipping with the import duties included so at least you know what you will be paying.
Import duty and vat can be a real killer for things like this.

I've bought a few sets of wheels from the USA and its perfectly safe providing they package them properly.
People say about import tax but just make sure they put a low value on the wheels when they tell the shipping company! My wheels cost me thousands and rotiform put the value as £300 so I enter up paying £41 import tax.
I'm sure people will disagree with this but it works perfectly fine.

U can put the value of the wheels as less but u risk getting a lower payout if they are lost or damaged in transit. Double edged sword. Usually it's ok tho...

I've heard something about getting the company to put that they are a warranty replacement as well?
