Title: spotted R400 on the road !!!!

not sure if these are even for sale yet but think I spotted on today

lady driver spotted me and dropped back they shot past my mate was driving I I did my best to get a photo but it was raining heavy so their not good , run the registration and it came back as a 20L TDI   :thinking:

anyone else spotted these on road test ? didn't look fake, it had yellow brake calipers as well

I think the proper cars were only ever going to be silver. And the project was canned as far as I know.

You can get 'R400' bodykits though...

There are a couple of fakes going around. one is a 1.2tsi i think  :signLOL:

Looked real enough reg said TDI but didn't smoke when I was booted

That's a lot of cash to throw at a TDI

Even the badge looked real I got a better look than the pics show and driver acted odd dropping  backwards quickly then when we slowed down shooting past even quicker

Was in NEWPORT South Wales

Yeap......they are all fake. The 400 is officially dead. Shame.  :sad1:

Oettinger have released a puffed up R....extra £5k though!  :laugh:

That one looks pretty cool!...

....But it's plate comes back to a July 2013 bluemotion SE 2.0 TDI 150ps 5 door  :evilgrin:

Very likely to be a CatC or CatD repair, seems it's more cost effective to build a 'replica' of a superior model than repair back to standard specification these days. Nearly every replica/copy these days seems to have a shady insurance history  :sick: :sick: :sick:

I have an R400 plate on mine  :laugh: (wife bought it for christmas). Few mods & the horsepower will match the plate  :wink:

Sorted  :happy2:better pics than I got as well looks a good job fooled me at 60-70 it's around the m4 corridor in South Wales now
