Title: Browser Add-ons
Post by: LC5F on May 17, 2020, 02:03:33 pm
After several US You-tubers keep going on about it, I tried the browser add on Honey - seems to work well, only experienced a 1% payback on Ebay and some sort of points thing on Aliexpress ....but then a UK You-tuber mentioned Pouch was similar to Honey, but more UK focussed.
Just pricing out some brake discs on ECP for full price £200 - I am very aware of their "Up to X% off" sales - once triggered, the add-ons are fully automated, I tried them both, Honey got me down to £120 and then I gave pouch ago and it got 50% down to the £100 - that was a spring50 code instead of current mid60

Anyone else had any good wins or know of any other good browser add ons?

Sounds good!  The trick with ECP is to compare the price on CarParts4Less first as they're the same company.  CP4L has cheaper ticket prices than ECP, plus any coupon codes etc......just a case of wangling the system.  I always manage to wangle prices to a bare minimum by fudging ECP/CP4L's pricing for the missus's MK4, but for mine I stick to the dealer

Don’t see why honey or pouch wouldn’t work elsewhere, so CPFL should work

Yes I was aware they were the same, but prefer euro’s so I can pickup up the parts and doing the old school check the parts before as I am only 1.5 miles from my nearest, so potential to walk/cycle/crawl to get stuff.

Another pouch win on eBay with some used calipers - got nearly £20 off £130

For dealer stuff, I’m lucky - my TPS is only 3 miles away, and I am still welcome despite being non trade -even got an account!
