this is what the car looked like when i got it, the pirelli wheels were in the boot with bald tyres so first thing to go was get tyres, the car also came with the miltek non res cat back exhaust so that saved me money plus i knew what downpipe i wanted to get then to make everything match, first mod i did was the yellow stipe on the grill to let everyone know it’s a pirelli edition

Now that the stipe is yellow and the Pirelli wheels are on I took her to her first car meet hosted by AKL hatchbacks
I was the only Pirelli edition there so I got tones of look’s because no one here knows these existed, it was completely stock at this point so the first thing to buy is an intake for all the nice noises

Intake has now been fitted along with some R8 coil packs (no photos sorry) , this was about all I did for the next couple of months it was just little cosmetic things, car had a service at this time so everything was running good and no problems at all.

My custom Pirelli insert were installed and made the interior really pop even tho there small they do make that much of a difference

My last bit of cosmetics for a while were installed, yellow fog lights with I wrapped myself with yellow vinyl off Ali express along with black eye lids to make the car more aggressive looking , I also added paddle shifter extensions, now it was time to actually put money into the performance side of things

First big mod was the 3’ catless down pipe from miltek I chose this because i already have a 3’ cat back on the car from the previous owner so it was an easy install and fit, car sounded so much better after and surprisingly with it being catless there was no drone at all, I went catless for performance reasons and here in NZ they don’t check for cats

I purchased some H&R 30mm lowing springs as these were recommended to me and local, car sits a bit lower but not stupidly low, so I liked that, after install the ride was a bit stiffer but not as stiff as I wanted it but that’s okay, if I was to do it again i would go for a stiffer spring and maybe a 45mm drop

Some parts have arrived, my VIS BSD, VIS HPFP, AKS runner flap delete and rs4 FRV had arrived along with a rev G diverter valve wich I already had on my car but oh well new stuff Is better than old.

I installed my VIS high pressure fuel pump and while the pump was off I did the 5mm banjo mod for more flow, this is a nice mod for anyone wanting to lower the duty cycle on there lpfp for for performance.

Next do do was the VIS balance shaft delete, fairly straightforward was a it of a pain to tighten everything up but otherwise only took a hole day 💀. I also did a fresh service as it was about time at this stage, after this install I did notice the rpm climb a bit quicker, and the car vibrated a little bit more but you can’t really tell once you get used to it.

A little break from performance side of things and I managed to get myself this super rare diffuser from ingo noak, took me a while to get this as I can’t read German and there side is in German they also don’t ship here so I had to get it form a Norwegian tuning company, car looks so sick with it and I also install a kill all I
Wiper kit for a sleek back look.

It was time for a carbon clean so I got all the new gaskets and brass brushes I needed and went to work, took about an hour and a half to take the manifold off, I fortunately did not have the dreaded Satan bolt so the intake was off in no time, I spent the rest of the day cleaning the valves. My valves weren’t to bad actually just a little build up in the middle but very easy to clean just time consuming.

(https://i.postimg.cc/2y0YH8fR/IMG-7173.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/GTT6tR2q)

While the manifold was off I installed my RS4 FRV and runner flap delete, these were straight forward installs, I fully removed the motor for the runner flaps to save weight. When the car was all back together I noticed a different induction noise and little burbles from the car. Start up’s weren’t bad it was on the colder side in the mornings I just let it settle for a bit longer but apart from that no major problems not even a fault code.

Getting ready for the tune I opted for the 034 billet dog bone insert over the power flex one because I wanted something a bit stronger than rubber, the vibration wasn’t even that bad if anything it made the car more direct, especially in first gear all the slop had gone.

A couple things I did was paint the calipers yellow and install sequential smoked indicators, just little things to make the car cleaner

Tune day, I dropped the car off to Graham at Lambda Performance for a Stage 2+ tune, it took about 2 hours and the only hiccup was a leaky dip stick, he had them in stock so we chucked a new one in and carried on, his tunes aren’t tuned on a dyno they are road tunes, witch is fine unfortunately it was wet that day so he might have had trouble tuning as there would have been no grip. At the end when I picked it up he said that car tuned up very well and no no issues, car should be making around the 370 mark with all my mods. I will be taking it on a dyno to confirm my actual number but for now im beating staged 355s, so all is dandy. Next on the mod list is engine mounts anti lift kit and an intercooler

Wow you're making good progress, I bet I feels world apart after the tune.

Good job on finding that diffuser, it's getting harder and harder to find body parts if you don't want maxtor or stuff from the US.

How was the fit and finish? I had a look since you posted the name of the firm and their r32 diffuser caught my interest.

Just picked up a CTS turbo outlet pipe and turbo muffler delete, this is supposed to make the turbo spool quicker but most importantly the turbo is going to be louder

I’ve got both installed. Don’t expect a massive sound difference but it is noticeable. Pick up does seem quicker based on seat of pants dyno!
