Title: Queries re upgrading interior to GTI one
Post by: Golfmk5GTD on June 04, 2017, 09:32:44 pm
Good evening guys,

Apologies if this has been asked before but I have a quick query regarding potentially upgrading my Golf's interior.

I currently have a facelift GT TDI 2008 with none heated/none leather seats. I've seen some heated GTI seats for sale. First of all will the interior be interchangeable in terms of connectors? I'm aware car will need to have battery disconnected for a few minutes etc due to airbags etc.

Also how big of a job will it be to get the heated seats wired up and working. I'm aware I'll need to get an upgraded heater control unit and I'm presuming VCDS upgrades will be required?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Looks great. You probably have as much money in interior parts as you paid for the car.
