Post by: 80walk on June 27, 2020, 07:58:54 pm
How in the **** do u remove the drivers door lock... Ive watched the videos and read online however when i unscrew the torx20 in the frame and hold the handle in open position the lock doesnt pull out.... Im doing this to get to the window regulator! Pretty sure its buggered as window is stuck in down position so need to have a look

Thanks!

Had to pull my lock out the other week, I made sure the torx was fully wound in then held the door handle out and turned the torx 12 times and gave the lock a pull and it came straight out.

Cheers... Is there any danger of the screw coming out?

If you unscrew it too far the collar can come off inside.  As above 12 turns is the one.

Might need a little pry to help it come out?

I had this exact issue when doing my drivers lock at the start of year. Just couldn't get the lock out and gave up for a short while but went back to it and eventually got it.Cant remember what i was doing wrong though. Am sure it was to do with the handle. After that the rest was easy.
