Title: ESC / tyre pressure MIL on
Post by: St282 on October 30, 2020, 06:56:03 am
Can someone help me figure out what is causing the MIL light on for ESC / tyre pressure. The 2 buttons by the gear knob doesn’t do anything now. Traction is fine as well as tyre pressures. Scanned the car nothing related to these lights. Recently changed MAF, MAP & ABS sensors, also new wheel hub bearings in the past year.

I think all those systems use the ABS wheel sensors so I would start looking there with all the wet weather we’ve had over the last few days it can sometimes turn brake dust to a paste that’s coating the sensor face

Abs wheel sensor was changed a month ago and the area was not as dirty. The abs wheel speed sensor fault is now cleared but esc is still on

We’re all the sensors changed at the same time ? If not maybe a different ones gone down

Theres a Sensor on each wheel so if one needed changing maybe another one now does , as I said water plays hell with the electrical connections as well as the dust
I would get it plugged in any problems should show up
