Re: Which brake pads and discs?

I usually get Pagid disc and pads......the discs in particular for the quality and that they are painted, so do not rust like others.
Recently though I have gone for EBC grooved and dimpled for the front and MTEC grooved and dimpled on the rear. These had the option to also have to painted from factory and have held up well.

Does anyone know if there is a difference between resetting using the accelerator pedal and ignition key method, compared to using VCDS and going in the ECU and resetting.

Is anybody in the market for a Mk6?

Hi guys, baby number 2 means my Mk6 GTI is no longer fit for purpose, I can barely fit in the drivers seat now with a baby seat behind me. Thought I’d check here to see if anyone is after one before putting it on piston heads. It’s 5dr DSG in silver. Heated Leather seats, front and rear sensors, electric mirrors, cruise control. Full service history. 66k on the clock. I bought it i
Re: Car sputters with MAF plugged in. When unplugged it drives perfect. Why?

Most prob the MAF as said, as it sounds like it is failing/failed and unable to read the air flow correctly......running rich to be safe
With it unplugged you will be using baseline settings, but will not be getting the best out the engine as it does not know exactly how much air is entering the car to calculate combustion.
Buy genuine for the MAF in my opinio

You need the mirror units which are all the same I believe, but there are three generations of window modules for the Mk5
Being a 2005 I would say it is the first generation which may be harder to find.......none the less a nice project if your prepared to hunt for parts over time.

R32s have the 41mm pistons for 310 mm discs. Your Ed would be 38mm too.. Caddys might be 41mm too.
Cheers! nbsp - nbsp I'#039m now thinking of upgrading the rears to mk5 R32 / Mk6 R 310mm vented brakes, since I'#039m loathe to spend money on a simple replacement if I can upgrade for n
