Title: Climate Control upgrade

Hi Guys,

I have the really old fashioned climate control in the MK5 Golf Part No 1K0 820 047.

I purchased online an upgraded controller part no 3C0 907 044 CB.

Did I buy the wrong one?

The wiring looks different to what was fitted originally.

Any advice what I should do please?

Yep, the search function seems a little broken.

Here’s a tip in case you aren’t aware.
Go to google and in the search bar, type in: site:www.mk5golfgti.co.uk followed by the search term.
So for this thread, you might use site:www.mk5golfgti.co.uk climate control
Won’t be as good as a working forum search function but does a job.
You can use this for any website by the way - just replace the website url.

Hi guys,

Please could you help me.

I have the most basic standard climate controller in my golf, part no 1K0 820 047.

I purchased 3C0 907 044 but connectors are different.

Everyone is trying to upgrade to the HVAC MK6 Golf but I only want to upgrade to what is already fitted into some other golfs.

It is clear and the wiring looks different, must be someone who has done this mod surely?

I can’t find anything related on the forums .

You're not ever going to swap manual controls for electronic climatronic controls.
YOu'd have to rip the whole car apart and fit everything behind the dashboard too.

Easier to but a car with climatronic.
Change the car or live with it.
