any ideas who would supply and fit a diff in the south west ?
oh not tsr
also what price should i expect for it to be fitted ? seems a manual diff is £585
-
I'm positive that Regal have a Peloquin diff fitted to their MKV manual GTI, although I'm not sure if they did it themselves or used a gearbox specialist.
-
i did look but found nothing on there
-
alan jeffreys in plymouth fit quaife diffs iirc, although they specialise in japanese, mainly evo and inprezas.
-
....
Worth a call to JKM (Kate or Jim) - 0239 263 9933 - They have plenty of experience fitting both Quaife and Peloquin (said to be noisier) to manuals. DSG needs someone with DSG experience.

Don't forget the Autotech Wavetrac option, maybe worth to be considered :happy2:

spoke to jkm and they are looking into it for me
-
Out of the potential three options...which one is recommended?
Are they pretty much the same price?
-
just spoke to regal who can supply quaife . and will fit for £380
does that sound about right ?
-
^^^^
I don't know about whether £380 is about right or not but do know it's a full day's work and that JKM would want to thoroughly test your car before handing you back your keys, as did VWR with mine.

so thats 380 for fitting the diff but how much for the diff ?
-
i reckon its about 5-6 hours work . diff is £585 plus vat
-
it looks like tsr are doing 10% off diffs at the mo and maybe 20% if a group buy of 5 or more happens
o2q is £605 inc 10% off
-
Let's do a group by? 20% off sounds like a deal!!!
