My car has always done this but today I thought I would investigate a bit further. Basically when I blip the throttle hard from idle the engine briefly stutters. I hooked VCDS up and viewed the measuring blocks groups 015 & 016 Misfire Detection, everytime I blipped throttle hard the count went up on all 4 cylinders.
The car never misfires whilst driving normally and hard.
The coils have been changed under recall from VW a couple of years ago and the spark plugs were changed about 14K ago.
No fault codes.
Any ideas?

Clogged inlet valves :happy2:
You sound pretty certain, have you had the same symptons?
-
No, it idles really steady. Even using the throttle normally it doesn't misfire just when you snap the throttle open it does it.

I could try a new set but they were only changed 14k from VW so I'm doubtful.
Any proper way to test the MAF or is it the case of just unplugging it?
I have done the throttle reset a couple of times and it instantly feels better but it reverts back to how it was before after a while.

Is the car remapped?
My R32 did this after a remap, and stopped doing it once the map was taken off...

No, it's completely standard. I will try to get a video of it tonight.

You might of just answered your own question ??
When I say better I mean that the throttle response seems softer and more easy to drive but it still misfires.

You need to turn your sound up, prefably on headphones. You can hear the slight hesitation.
