Evening all,
I have recently bought an RCD510 DAB unit off a member on here (would highly recommend him) and the headunit works perfectly fine apart from one thing.
I really struggle getting signal for any AM radio stations (for Talk Sport mainly) I have had a fakra connector fitted today and this hasn't resolved the problem, everything has been connected correctly and I really don't know what could be the problem? With my old standard unit the signal was crystal clear.

Did your original oem aerial connector come in one white connection with 2 cables in it or 2 separate connectors you've had to buy an adaptor for?

It came with 2 separate cables and I had to buy a adaptor for it.

Swap them over as only 1 carries the AM signal you probably have them round wrong way

I'll try that mate, but I have tried keeping hold of the setup button which gives me the signal strength and I am getting signal just not a lot of it. So could they still be the wrong way round?

So I nipped down to Awesome GTI at the weekend to get cruise control sorted and asked about my headunit, they have said that I may need an AM signal booster to sort the problem out, has anyone else had to buy one of these?
