Title: MK5 Recirculation button not lighting or working = no heat or ac

Hi Everyone,

I have been trying to work this out for 6 months or more. The recirculate button/light don't seem to be working, I can't get either hot or cold air. I thought it was the flap motor but there's no noise when I switch on the ignition.

I recently found out that the recirc. switches on when you clean the rear screen or engage reverse to avoid fumes; so the simple wiring problem is more complicated. Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it?
