Title: Engine Cover

Has anyone modded their existing Engine cover to fit around a CAI. I have fitted a Ram Air intake as below and wondering how dificult it is to mod the existing cover

Lots have moded their OEM Covers. Just a quick search....

Thanks and yes it needs a clean. As you noticed can you recommend a good cleaning method as I presume a powerful jet spray can be dangerous

Get a Audi TTS engine cover and get it modded it look's the dog's,here's mine.

Does look good but I would say the cover cost a bit initially

^^^ Like that............(I would, it looks exactly like mine!  :laugh:). They are about £100 inc fitting bolts.

Jet wash will be fine.

Use any APC and agitate with a brush then jet wash off. If your worried about Battery, fuse box, CAI filter etc then cover with a plastic bag.

Run the engine first to warm up and also after to help dry out IMO.

I did using a Dremel with cutting disc...don't worry about the melting...it will peel off quite easily afterwards:

You want to leave the two rear mounts and take away only what you need to for clearance and if needed add support for future removal:
