I'm looking to replace the rear shocks and springs on my GTI as they are pretty rusty and close to breaking according to the dealer.. I could just replace them with standard shocks and springs however are there any uprated parts which would give me the same or better performance? I'm aware any suspension should be done all round however I've got a long list of other things the car needs at the moment and need to keep costs down. I was looking at replacing the springs with a set from KYB, is this a good call?
Any info would be appreciated! :happy2:

I believe VWR make a set of springs that slightly drop the car but not much and that can be fitted with standard struts: http://volkswagenracing.co.uk/parts/vwr-sports-spring-kit-22/
My mate had them fitted when one of his original springs cracked, it looked the nuts slightly lowered and didn't make the ride too harsh

the eibachs only drop about 15mm or so anything non standard though only come in sets of 4 usually
