Title: RCD510 and canbus swap before acquiring VCDS info?
Post by: ReflexRob on August 21, 2015, 12:48:50 pm
I've recently purchased a DAB RCD510 (Blaupunkt) and a new canbus coded by a trader on here to my cars specification.

I haven't yet got myself a VCDS unit - is it a bad idea to change my canbus before getting screen shots of the original code or is it just a case of swapping back to the old canbus to revert to the old coding if necessary?

Thanks

Just change the can gateway, faults or further coding can be made anytime.

How the hell do you get in there to remove it?! That's crazy!

Edit -  I got it after bursting a muscle in my neck. Someone's been in before and there was a zip tie around the unit.
