I seem to be missing mine.

The bit under the vents.

Not sure pic is accurate but it looks similar.

The ones on ebay all show they are for a MK6 golf.

Will these fit my MK5?

is it definieltly missing?

I think mine is missing the cover, its just a honey comb under there, but when I pull it out the cup holders come out...

Yeah I'm 100% as there just a hole.
