So when I bought the car the rear light needed replacing so I bought a new one and it's been fine until recently. Firstly I've noticed fog inside the light on numerous occasions but now there's a whole load of water gathered inside the light. I've taken the light out and going to let it drain off and hopefully dry out.
Any ideas why this is happening?
Thanks

Is the new one you bought oem?
Do you powerhose the light when you're washing the car?
What's happening regardless is that the rubber seal around the light is letting water in. If you can dry out the light properly, put clear silicone around the entire seal and wipe away excess then refit it.

Yer I second this my m8 had the same problem he put some on and its been fine since. Stay away from direct jet washing tho

You need to ensure that when you put it back the screw is done tight. Don't over tighten it and break your light obviously, but that screw creates the seal for the light.

Thanks guys. I've had the light replaced as it was under warranty. I'll see how this one goes but might seal it with silicone anyway. Thanks again

Thanks for all your help guys, I got my replacement light which was still fogging up so a night in the airing cupboard then some silicone sealant and there's been no dramas three weeks later.
Thanks again
