Title: Just had Milltek Non Resonated cat back fitted
Post by: PhilNUK on August 25, 2015, 12:28:17 pm
Just wondering if they take a while to bed in? Or it ok to just drive normal? I have had exhausts on bikes before and the sound changes as the engine adapts to the exhaust.  I guess it's the same for cars? So can expect a change in tone?

I'd say the sound change has more to do with the condition of the metal changing caused by the heat/cool cycle each time you drive it, as well as the inside of the exhaust 'sooting up' as the miles add up. Both of these things IMO contribute towards the sound changing.. but you don't have to drive it any differently!

I wouldn't change the way you drive for it, won't make any difference.

As above, it's tone will change when it soot's up and the metal adapts to the conditions  :happy2:

Cheers guys..  Just didn't know if any of the clamps or seals would need to settle down as don't want to cause any leaks or anything.
