Title: Revo intake filter maintenance
Post by: dansmith180 on August 26, 2015, 09:31:38 am
Hi guys, my Revo intake has now done 10,000 miles, should I clean the filter? If so how? Replacements are about £75 from what I've looked at so would prefer not to replace them annually, I don't mind changing them every other year though so is there a way of maintaining my current filter? Thanks.

The revo filters are foam arent they?

When I had my JR filter(Jetex) I used to soak it in soapy water to clean it.

obviously let it dry thoroughly

Im not sure if the revo filter come pre oiled though

Yes its foam and yes its oiled.

My twintake filters were dry so I just blasted out the sh*t with the air line at work but obviously can't do that with these. I know K&N do cleaning kits for their oiled filters but I can't find an equivalent for the Revo kit or even find info on the lifespan/ reccomended cleaning regime. If nobody knows I'll just ring them and report back.
