Title: Fitting an aftermarket stereo - which Connects2 adapter?
Post by: zed4 on August 30, 2015, 12:55:38 pm
Hi,

I've had enough of the VW system so I've upgraded to a Carplay stereo to get Spotify etc. I need to get the facsia and wiring adapters so I'd like a little help with which one to get please.

Is it the Connects2 CTSVW002.2 I need?

What about the facsia adapter?

So far I've seen the following:

And I'm a little confused about what I actually need!

Car is a 2006 Golf with steering wheel controls, and I need to fit an aftermarket stereo to it.

Thanks!

Dan

I did this the other day, but with a Kenwood headunit.

You need Connects 2 CTKVW01.  Costs £60.  It comes with:

-Fascia
-Radio cage to fit fascia
-Aerial adapter (this isnt great, but picks up main FM stations)
-Steering wheel control module (you need to tell whoever you buy it off what headunit you have so you get the correct fly lead)

Basically everythig you need to fit a double din headunit.
