Hammerite

I have used hammerite in the past. Great stuff. I used the tin and a small paint brush. You can paint straight onto rust and grime. A few coats make it look great. Patience in drying time too.

Does hammerite do gloss and Matt red paint? As I can't decide what I want yet

Another vote for hammerite smooth red.
Put some time into cleaning the calipers up best you can before the paint goes on, otherwise it might flake after a while. I did my old mk4 golf, used a steel brush to get rid of the loose stuff, then some carb cleaner and steel wool. Careful not to get on the pads. Still looked perfect a couple of years later when I sold the car.
