I know there are many of these threads but I'm wondering what people have got for the 0-62 and 0-100 MPH from a standard Mk5 GTi?
I just done a few runs with a Scangauge II and it kept coming back as 6.2 seconds on the 0-62mph!?
The car is a DSG and was using launch control and the only modification is a Twintake but this seems too quick for a standard car but wondering if it could be possible or the Scangauge is out.

From memory it's something like 7.2 manual and 6.9 DSG.

I've had people in the car with me trying to get an accurate time with a stop watch etc aswell as on my own but I've never got anything more than 6 and a half. Its always been really low 6's. Tried not to read into it too much as there can be lots of room for errors etc but made me wonder if my car has previously been mapped. Will find out soon anyway

Official for manual is 7.2 or DSG 6.9
VW Driver mag, got 6.0 some how.

Is a strange one to be honest as my standard Gti feels much stronger off the line than my ep3 Type R that I owned many years ago but on paper the type R is about half second quicker, my Gti made healthy figures of 211bhp and 240ftlb torque which may help
Ep3 has 145ftlb  hated mine so sold it after 5 months just gutless mid range driving

I would love to put my car on a dyno to see what power it is running. I just find it hard to believe 200 bhp in a not so light hot hatch can do the run in nearly six seconds flat :surprised:
I know the type r is nippy but when I went in one it felt like all noise and no go but maybe it's a car which belongs a bit closer to a track with the power at top end.
