Evening all,
Got another TDI yesterday, so 2 GTi's and now 2 TDI's! This one when starting cold has a massive judder when the engine does start, it doesnt struggle as such but huge judder sort of thing? Sounds like engine is coming off the mounts lol, then when warm it takes a while to start? 7-10seconds ish? Gets to temp pretty quick also?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Common issue
Replace starter and battery.
Remap to resolve hot start issue.

Is it just the starter then? Not the temp sensor or anything? Will the cause the car to warm up very quickly?

it's starter problem, get your starter rebuild or change to another one, but the easiest way is to get ecu program corrected. On default, on low RPM's, injectors don't inject fuel.

Sorry to bump this - Got a Mk5 GT TDI and it starts perfectly when cold, but takes while of turning the engine before it catches when its warm.
You mention a remap being the easiest/cheapest solution - exactly what would I need to ask for please and is this dealership thing or any reputable garage?
Thanks in advance
