So I got a new dashboard, which sounds odd but it's alcantara!
I disconnected the battery as I knew I was taking the steering wheel off with airbag and everything, the controls around the wheel were off. Got the new dash all in put everything back exactly as it was, put the battery in, turned the key and nothing at all!! No clicks nothing!
All the lights work inside and outside, the stereo all works but that's no good!!
Anyone know what I could have done?????

Maybe something isn't well connected.
The starter engine/cluster should make some noise. Well, my Ed. 30 when needed a new battery made a ticking noise when I tried to start it. It seemed like the ticking noise came from the cluster and not from the engine bay...

Obviously something isn't working
there's a fuse for the dashboard cluster. check that. if that's failed car won't start.

make sure the plugs on all the modules on column are home fully

As a starting point do you know if the battery is up for the job of starting - what features work at key position two?

Someone just said that to me! I've just assumed that coz it worked before the dash come out it was fine.
The lights turn on, stereo comes on..that's about it

And thinking about it the stereo goes off after about 3 mins if you leave it which it never used to, and I've been trying to wire a sub up which the amp comes on but nothing out the sub although it all works in a different car
