Title: Warranty question on a wing
Post by: Vwgtiking on September 09, 2015, 07:17:55 pm: I went and had my wings inspected. Vw agreed to repair one 100% on warranty but not the other as it shows signs of a previous repair.

Anyway my question is, I have another wing which is genuine with beginnings of rust. Can I put that wing on the car and then have it checked again and repaired under warranty ??? Or they tell to go away. lol.

Anyone tried that?

Post by: Prewy on September 15, 2015, 02:19:59 pm: Highly unlikely, they will spot you have tampered with the wing you replace. Better off paying for them to replace the wing whilst it is in for the warranty work, might do you a good price?
