Title: Goilf mk6 1.4 TSi DSG Won't Start - ESP ERROR

Guys

Wondered if anyone can give a bit of advice?

We have a mk6 golf 1.4 tsi with the DSG box that won't start.

When you put the key and turn to start, the starter motor isn't engaging, the 'P' on the gearshift is flashing and the dash says 'ESP ERROR'. The dash is lighting up, and all electrical ancillaries are working as normal, the starter motor will just not engage.

We have had the ECU sent off for diagnosis, which came back ok, and also tried a new battery just incase which made no difference.

Has anyone experienced this before or can share a few pointers of things to check?

Try starting it with jumper cables. Are you sure the new battery was fully charged?
Maybe the key fob is faulty try your spare.
