After 12 years of good service my mac cup is in need of repair

Cable ties is old fix  You need vcds for proper diagnostics before attempting this sort of job
 If you get stuck I'm only too willing to help......iirc paper mache is the new fix :rolleye:

To be honest there is no point fixing it on the cheap.

needs to be stripped, cleaned, ported & polished.

Going to be an expensive job!

Do these have the same warranty as the wing rust? If so I'd be straight down to VW and kick off

Looking at the type of failure it has SUFFERED it has been serviced by VW :happy2:
