Title: APR Stage 1 + HPFP for ED30. Feedback
Post by: Msportman on September 14, 2015, 10:47:42 pm
Has anyone done APR Stage 1+ on their Edition 30

I was considering running this map with the HPFP and maybe a VWR intake.

Has anyone done this before going straight to stage 2+??

Just that it comes within my budget going stage 1+ as I have to spend on KW Clubsports and some brakes.

Has anyone got any dyno plots?

It says on APR's web site that stage 1+ with HPFP and intake that it produces 337bhp!! Seems good figures to me and a good torque increase.
I had this before but without the intake when they first brought stage 1+ out some 5 yrs ago.

I have APR stage 1+ with Evoms intake.
It's well worth doing especially just for the linear power delivery and mid range torque the hpfp can give.
Also it sets you up for stage 2+

I think 337bhp is optimistic tho as mine was logged at 320 (by previous owner) :)

My friends 8p Audi s3 was recently APR mapped at awesome gti. He has a pipewerx decat downpipe, milltek cat back exhaust and a forge twintake but it has itg filters in place of the normal forge enclosed ones and it  made 340.8bhp on there dyno.

I'm unsure what stage they would class the map as with those mods but my pal said they were impressed and rarely see figures that high. I no its not a ed30 but there practically the same engine/turbo.

Yep same stages of tune, the downpipe + decat will be where the extra horses are coming from for sure.
Downpipe will be my next mod to

Everyone on here is just going to tell you to do it. Because you should! Haha
What torque do you expect from apr 1+

Mine (ed30) with decat, bcs exhaust, and evoms intake made 336 Bhp and 440ft*lb at r tech this week :) I'm loving it!

Bit of info on 1+, torque vs peak power etc here from R-Tech.

I know this is in the APR section but it's worth a read.

Im stage 1+. Apr hpfp and map with itg intake.  As said previously the hpfp just gives the car more power at the higher revs.
Iv posted dyno readings in this thread: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,96232.msg956461.html#msg956461

Will take a butchers
Car booked in on Friday for the work so will get some pics and post them up. Looking forward to getting it done. This is my 3rd ED30 but my first DSG car. Other two cars were mapped the first had APR stage 1 then 1+ then stage 2 with their RSC exhaust. Second car had GTI / BBR map. Both very smooth. I didn't have any intakes on either cars but I fitted KW Clubsports to both cars. I have never done springs on their own but am trying H&R.
Will fit Ksport 8 pot kit from TSR to stop it ASAP me thinks!!
