Title: Hello all. What was wrong with the old place??

Hi everyone. First post on the new forum.

I got the PM telling me about this place. So what's the deal? I'm a little confused, maybe I missed something. Are we all going to relocate over here from 'golfgtiforum.co.uk', was there a big rebellion which I missed or something? The old place was a great resource and had lots of helpful members. Are we all going to relocate over here or be omni-present on both? This is all much too confusing for a Friday evening and Halloween night as well.. :party:

Quite simple really Max. The MK5 section over on GolfGTI.co.uk took on a life of it's own and seems to have outgrown being 'just one section' on a forum overall dedicated to ALL Golf GTI's. There simply was no way of running a separate community just for MK5 enthusiasts other than creating lots of sub-forums inside the main one which we weren't prepared to do.

Also I spat my dummy and made everyone use the forum properly by instructing the mods to move all non-mk5 related topics out of there  :laugh: (you missed all that TT!)

So Steve set up this place. It would be nice to attract members in other ways than simply pm'ing them on our forum though  :innocent:

:grin: Sorry for all the questions TC, but your brief PM was a bit cryptic! I thought it was a spin-off forum from GolfGTI.co.uk at first but then I figured out that it was an independent website set up by yourself and SteveP. Anyway, best of luck with it.
