I have a a3 2.0tfsi 2005 with Dsg gearbox yesterday I was driving it normal as I do came to a set of traffic lights and went to pull off ad the car just started jerking Also making some knocking noises?
So I got it recovered to my house am in need of a Dsg specialist in London also the recovery man said changing the oil might fix it?

1 try change dsg oil and filter and reset it
2 they have 2 clutches so need to check clutch pack 1 or 2
3 Mechatronics can need replacing
let us know how you get on
the dsg should be service at 40k and 80k

check for flywheel

With the engine running will it go from neutral to drive without hesitation and without any loud thuds or knocks? Same with park to drive. Do it a few times.
If there's a distinctive knock or thud then it's a good sign that your mechatronics is upset.
That's all I got I'm afraid

This is what it does also the gear selector on the dis says 2nd gear neutral to drive there's a a loud violent knock so it must be the mechatronics

I cant remember the link but someone posted a company who deals with mechatronic replacements but I cant remember which thread it was in.
think it was 1600 all in but dont quote me on that.
If you know your way around the car you could try yourself (if you know what your doing)
There is a video on youtube you could use as a guide.
drain the GB fluid, drop them box then replace the mechatronics, its like a big sensor inside the GB

Hi mate. If it is your mechatronics thats playing up then I suggest you try ECU testing, if you Google them they will come up and what they can do is repair/refurbish it for you and also give you a warranty for it. Which i believe should be much cheaper than the 1k - 1600 mark.. Hope this helps!
