Hi all hope everyone is well. ive got my car booked jn at fr tuning this week for a stage 1 remap. i currently have it remapped but got a sh*t map and the car is way down on power . the bloke at FR tuning said its running 217bhp , lower tourqe than a standard gti loool . i have a rev d dv , forge pcv block off , induction kit , remap. im confused as on Fr Tuning website it says £234 for a stage 1 remap on a mk5 gti but the bloke said it will be £350 how much does it usally cost for a stage 1 remap .

is this on a dyno? or a mobile tuner?
never mind just been on the website. The lower price sounds close to what i would charge for a live road map. £350 on a dyno sounds about right to me. Others will chime in im sure

Ye its on a dyno no print outs but he showed me results from dyno my golf mk5 gti with a , intake , rev d dv , stage 1 map made 229.9HP he said it will make a little more but my MAF air flow is broke so i will replace this tommoz and hopefully look to get around 235hp this sound about right for a stage 1 with my mods ? ,

Stage 1 on a standard car is around 250hp...

Yep Gaz is right. I was told a stage 1 would get 45/50 BPH this was from one of the most popular companies in Northern Ireland

sounds like im down on power then , noticed the intercooler pipe on passenger side had a slight boost leak so ordered a new pipe with clips will fit monday aswell as a cam follower + a service and have it back on dyno for a re run hopefully will be running between 240-250
