Title: Exhaust system

Help,car just failed it's mot due to a cracking in the exhaust ,due to it being the original they are telling me I have to go to vw get a new one (£700)ish is there any way around this to bring the price down cos if not I  gonna have to sell her

Buy a used one? Originals are not really worth much

where abouts has it cracked ?   a miltek cat back will only cost you £400 odd lol

Christ mate, don't take their advice, get on eBay or here, and grab a second hand one.  Did they specify where it had cracked, the GTI exhaust is pretty much just two sections front to back. Doing this will probably save you at least £550 inc. someone else fitting it. :happy2:
