Thanks bud :happy2:, yeah had looked at that, sigh :( .. thought there might be a false positive in the results, or perhaps something that I did recently (http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,100923.0.html), hmmph.

Ok, I guess check the simple stuff first, intake / airbox etc.

How does it idle?

Hi mate, another prob to sort, ha... to answer your Q... it coughs now and again if left to idle over a few minutes; pop splat - nothing too loud but not smooth.

Check the air filter housing for very fine cracks - if you heard a crack on removal but didn't notice nothing when checking it's there!
If that's the fault I just cut a V into it and use http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gorilla-Epoxy-Resealable-Syringe-25ml-Adhesive-Set-In-5-Min-2-Part-UK-Original-/252089078553?hash=item3ab1ae1319 works for me.

Pleased you sorted the ABS issue
