I decatted my Edition 30 almost 2 months ago now with the intentions of ordering a Peron Intercooler (Cause of the good rep that they are getting on the forum). I've been on the waiting list with AKS Tuning for about 3 weeks now, called yesterday and they still have no idea when they'll be in.
I'm now getting a bit fed up of waiting, and the car running terribly due to the lack of map.
So the question is should I wait? Or just settle for an Airtec, THS, Forge Twintercooler?

His assistant is to get back to me with a date. Cars currently Stage 1 Revo, and ill probably go Stage2+ by the end of the year.
I think it was 550 of the top of my head.

AKS good company and thats a good price
are you fitting it yourself or is AKS fitting for that price all in

You can consider Wagner as well, if the price is good as well. AFAIK an Airtec stage 2 will do good numbers too.

i thought you went for the S3 intercooler from darkside ?
still good choice for money
i wish these intercoolers were cheaper

Yeah, I did. The feedback I saw from them is very good, but since then I've seen that a generic Chinese IC from ebay would give basically the same results. Not sure if the extra money for a DsD branded one was well spent. They can do +400 HP with good temps and I'm not aiming that high for a daily drive.
I'll post the results once I remap my Ed. 30. :happy2:

Get a Peron from Alex, Niki has had some great results with these (better than my THS).....

The Airtec coolers have rave reviews by the Ford boys, and their stage 2 cooler also uses a 55mm core as well. They're about £600 but readily available if you don't want to wait for a Peron one to come back into stock. I would of gone for a Peron one as well but I've since sourced an APR one.

I looked Peron, darkside and ths but settled with an airtec myself and so has my brother

what won you over with the airtec v peron

Mainly availability and cost. also the fact that I am ko3, it would do more than I require. I am yet to have it rerun on dyno, but I know for a fact that the benefits are there, especially if it's been driven hard over back roads

Thanks for the input everyone.
Thinking the airtec stage 2 one sounds pretty decent, and I can get it by the weekend which is a massive plus.
