Passat R36 steering wheel.
I wanted one for ages and then an estate got arse ended and donated one. IMO better than the GTI wheel as (I'm alone here I'm sure) I don't like the narowing of the 'quarter to three' position.
This is thicker and feels more like an Audi wheel. Fits straight on and all buttons work fine. Might alcantera trim it.

Nice wheel but I do prefer the 'flat bottomed' look!
-
It's a nice wheel but I think I prefer the GTi wheel with its flat bottom as Greenouse says.
Can the badge be changed?
-

me too :driver:
-
Yep, flat bottomed look is better, but the feel is sooo much nicer in your hands (IMO of course)
Haven't got around to splitting the badge yet, but yes, it can be done easily.
-
Neat mod, but im a flat bottomed man too
-

Tony very nice :happy2: I was looking at the passat wheel yesterday, theres one on ebay.de at the moment, more interested in the front seats though.
Darren

The front seats are amazing - fully adjustable bolsters and everything, RS4 style! Even the rears are heated.
I love my mate's R36, its an animal for what it is.. highly amusing!!
-
Not Gary is it of UK-mkivs is it Mike?
Was sat in his car at the awesome RR day couple of saturdays ago
-
Yeah that Gaz - you know us uk-'s lot, we all go way back, like an incenstuous family.
I've driven both of his and the first one was a fair bit quicker with 15k under its belt, this new one's got some running in to do!... I helped with a record breaking run back from N Wales recently

Always had my suspicions that John Casey was Tabs/Dent Reforms love child
-
Oh, Dent's far too new for that - We impregnated Tabs nearly a decade ago with sperm from a finger monkey.
Wow, this forum lark really does go back when I think of it. Good times.
-
Yeah that Gaz - you know us uk-'s lot, we all go way back, like an incenstuous family.
And i go back a couple of years before even that, when i signed up waaaay back in '03 you had to endure Tabs' rigorous selection process involving a frenchman, a horse and a butternut squash round the back of the bins at the Plough 'n' Flail...

As for frenchmen on horseback.... :scared:
-
Ahh, the squash - people don't realise what we all went through in the early forum days to pave the way for you lot!!
-
Very nice mod. :happy2: i have had a feel of this. :chicken:

At some point (and it's quite far down the list) I want a Mk6 GTI wheel. Needs to have DSG paddles and multi of course.

-

Mojo it cost me just short of £250 :driver: but with having to get the new controller and slip ring it actually ended up costing nearly £430? give or take a couple of quid.
Has Ollie said mate ebay, its where I got mine from
