Hey, been searching, trying to work out which BT module is going to work best for me to replace the Parrot...
What I've got:
2005 GTI
Red highline dash
MFSW
RCD510 DAB (later CAN bus)
What I want:
The phone button on the wheel to work (ideally to trigger my phone's voice recognition, same as the Parrot does, don't know whether it's possible?!)
Dash and RCD to display caller and signal info (phone is usually in the centre console or my pocket, so can't see it!)
Decent sound quality from the mic
No RSaP
I'm not too fussed about A2DP as I use a big SD card in the RCD, but I understand track info would be more dependant on the HU than the BT?
From what I read at http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Telephone_Retrofitting (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Telephone_Retrofitting) the 9w2 (1k8035730d) should work? But looks like I need to be careful about the quality of the Chinese versions available... is anyone able to confirm before I buy?
Cheers

Not many oem units display on both rcd and the highline.
Maybe try this

Cheers both. I've not heard great reports of the call quality on the Fiscon units so wanted to go OEM if possible. The fis-link option could work though :)

The FIS-link works, I have it fitted in my Ed. 30. :happy2:
