Post by: Daveyboy on October 09, 2015, 06:44:03 pm: Hi guys and girls, my name is Dave, im from Newcastle and have just bought a 56 plate gti. I bought it because I got offered it for a price I couldnt refuse. Im not new to the golf world, I used to have a mk4 gti 1.8t with a decent 310bhp a few years ago and ive also got a mk3 vr6 which is my show toy. I dont really plan on doing much to the mk5 as its my daily. It needs a full shoot as some ba**ard has keyed it, hence why I got it so cheap. But thats what I do on the side so itll cost me next to nothing to paint.

Last time I used them they managed to rest the sharp wing edge on the sill. It managed to scrape the paint off and literally cut a lattice effect into the painted ED30 skirt.

I'll bare that in mind mate. Cheers. To be fair the rest of the car needs painted but I don't want any damaged panels

Yeah I've still got the VR, sold my charger to Ben and a few bits to Jon. Just working on a Snail orientated VR

Post by: d11ps on December 15, 2015, 02:51:54 pm: Yeah I saw that it's up for sale, suprised it hasn't sold to be fair it's up at a decent price. Snails the best way to go, your able to get amazing gains with the right setup and go about breaking gearboxes and driveshafts

I haven't a clue mate. I was just told about it when I dropped it in to get the wing replaced
