How many times have we seen this line in car adverts: 'My Girlfriend / Wife Kerbed My Wheels'.
And how many times do you actually believe it?
I have never ever known a man to admit that he has actually kerbed his beloved wheels - he will always blame his missus!
So come one guys - if you have kerbed your wheels and are selling your car, please admit it and do not blame your poor unsuspecting wife or girlfriend.
Let's see how many guys we can get to admit this on the Forum - we promise not to tell anyone!

I remember when i kerbed my newly refurbed oz turbo rims! That nasty sound. :(

I just stay well away from kerbs.....usually by a couple of feet!

I have indeed kerbed my alloys before now. This has included keeping horrible alloys pristine and kerbing brand new ones within about a week.
However, when I got my MK5, the sales guy at the dealer didn't believe me when I told him my trade-in was bought (cheaply) with badly kerbed alloys. He was trying to sell me alloy wheel protection at the time and said "I know you SAY you didn't kerb them..." Nearly lost him the sale actually.

In 12 years of driving my wife has only kerbed one wheel and that was on her own car. I managed to kerb a wheel on her mk5 with a 65 profile tyre on it. And many more before and after.

I thought this was a thread about your girlfriend and your wife kerbing your wheels...
I thought your doing well if you can publically talk about that on an internet forum

What was the phrase they used to say on here, when the missus kerbed your wheels?
One damaged rim deserves another?
After Bignod managed to claw my 19" Ultraleggeras from me his wife decided to friction test one of them on a kerb. :jumping:
I'm pretty sure he damaged her rim good n proper in return. He was fuming!

My boyfriend fitted my Borbet A's to my previous car and took it out the driveway for me... I got in the car, put it in reverse to set off and dragged the polished rim right down the kerb in the process.
In my defence, I'd never had a car with wide wheels on it! It was an Up so the standard wheels were like 5.5j & the borbets were 9j. I also hadn't adjusted my mirror so I couldn't see them!
:ashamed: :ashamed: :ashamed:
I've only kerbed two wheels in my life though, whereas his 3sdms are absolutely trashed. I honestly don't think gender comes into how good a driver somebody is
