So i've had the cruise control "replaced" at a garage and it doesn't set anymore.
It was intermittently indicating the green light on the dash before i had it replaced, now its been replaced it consistently indicates the green light then the switch is on but the "set" and "res" doesn't register on VAGCOM.
The steering control module is :1K0-953-549-AQ
Software number is:0070
And its a Highline (factory fitted)
Which stalk part number should be compatible with this steering control module as i believe they have fitted the wrong stalk.
Thanks

What year is it?

2007 mk5 GTI with highline and MFSW.
The green light now indicates but "set" and "res" doesn't respond.
Going to try another stalk but if that doesn't work then i've got no idea :sad1:

i read online that someone had a milltek fitted and the garage didn't reconnect the vacuum pipe to a butterfly valve on the exhaust and this prevented his CC from working, is this worth investigating?

U can check that stalk buttons in vcds to see if they work

Version A are notorious for going wrong. I would get a version G as they are the newest ones.

done a check on VAGCOM and the buttons don't register as an input when pressed which makes me think its the unit.
as for upgrading to revision g, how much would this cost as the garage has said its a big cost
