Hi all, I'm looking for some advice about cleaning and power washing my engine bay. It's getting pretty dirty under there, but I'm worried I'll cause problems for myself if I don't do it properly. Did this on my previous car (VW Bora), but I'm nervous about my ED30.
Can anyone offer any advice or best practice when doing this.
Much appreciated

Loads of TFR, let it dwell, give it a brush, power wash off

I always make sure I cover the maf sensor, alternator, air induction if you have one and any wires you don't like the look of with plastic bags! And then when power washing I make sure I don't blast in one area for too long just in case it goes to something I don't want having too much water on! And I let it dry for a while after I've used the air pressure gun on it

And obviously use cleaning products you need to get off any dirt! I use autoglyn engine degrease (I forgot the name) and it's really good stuff! Wd40 and back to black brings up plastics nicely too
